20-Hour CDL B
This program is for drivers with general experience looking to obtain their CDL.
The program consists of 18 hours of individualized training to obtain a CDL A to drive a combination vehicle (tractor-trailer).

We provide a variety of one-on-one CDL Training and Testing services:

All individual CDL Training and Testing Courses require the following prerequisites:
Minimum age 18, obtained a commercial learners permit* (CLP) *Prior to February 7, 2022, current Alaska Driver License, DOT Medical Examiners Certificate, DOT Substance Test submitted by CEE, and verification from FMCSR Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse of no violations.

Additional costs for all driver training courses: DOT Medical Exam, DOT Substance Test, TSA HME (background check/fingerprinting) fees, and room & board.

CEE Fee: DOT Substance Test $70

A CLP must be in your possession for a minimum 14 days after date of issuance, before a road skills test can be performed.
CDL Training & Testing
5-Hour Road Skills Refresher - CDL A or B
This program consists of a 5-hour block of time with an instructor for refresher training in a Class A or B vehicle.

Tuition: $ 800.00.      DOT Substance Test: $70        
$200 deposit is required at the time of scheduling.
Road Skills Assessment - CDL B Passenger Bus
(CEE's bus is an automatic with airbrakes)
This 5-hour program consists of up to 3-hours of individualized training for drivers who would like to get a CDL B Passenger Bus. This includes pre-trip inspection, air brake testing, a driving assessment, and road skills exam.
Additional time may be required at instructor's discretion.
Prerequisites: Current Driver License, Commercial Learners Permit (CLP) IA or IB with Passenger Endorsement, and DOT Medical Examiners Certificate.

Tuition Anchorage & Fairbanks: $ 800.00.      DOT Substance Test: $70
$200 deposit required at the time of scheduling.
This program is for drivers with general experience looking to obtain their CDL.
The program consists of 18 hours of individualized training to obtain a CDL B to drive straight trucks, dump trucks, or any vehicle that requires a CDL B to drive (except buses which require a passenger endorsement and separate road test).

Both programs include up to 2 hours time for road test. Includes instruction on pre-trip inspection, air brake testing, and driving assessment. Additional time may be required at instructors discretion.

Tuition Anchorage & Fairbanks: $ 3,100 includes road test.  DOT Substance Test: $70
$200 deposit is required at the time of scheduling.
CDL Refresher & Testing
Passenger Bus
These individualized (one-on-one) courses are on a scheduled only basis.
There is no classroom instruction.
Road Skills Test
​Commercial Vehicle - Class A, B, or C Road Skills Exam
CEE is an authorized DMV Third Party Testing Facility
We offer road skills testing on a schedule only basis either in your vehicle or using a CEE vehicle.

Due to the the new Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations for Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) individuals whose Commercial Learners Permit (CLP) issued prior to 02/07/2022 are not subject to these regulations and may complete a commercial road skills exam without completion of the ELDT courses.

Prerequisites: Age 18, Current Driver License, current commercial learners permit* (CLP) *Issued prior to 2/7/2022 with Passenger Endorsement (if applicable), and DOT Medical Examiners Certificate.

Additionally for using your vehicle: Current proof of insurance and registration for both tractor and trailer (if trailer is used).  Vehicle and trailers must meet FMCSA regulations. 

Anchorage & Fairbanks
Commercial Motor Vehicle Tests (using your vehicle): CEE will collect the commercial road test exam fee of $200.00 at the time of scheduling (relinquished upon appointment cancellation/changes of less than 5 business days in advance of the appointment).

Commercial Motor Vehicle Tests (using CEE vehicle): CEE will collect the vehicle charge of $550.00, which includes the road test exam fee. There is a $200.00 deposit due at the time of scheduling (relinquished upon appointment cancellation/changes of less than 5 business days in advance of the appointment).

Non-Commercial Class D road skills test
Road Test Fee: $100.00 at the time of scheduling.

Effective February 7, 2022 - Commercial Driver License (CDL) Eligibility

How do the ELDT regulations impact current CLP holders? 

  • Only drivers who obtain a commercial learner’s permit (CLP) on or after the February 7, 2022 compliance date are subject to ELDT regulations for obtaining or upgrading a CDL. 

  • Drivers who currently hold a CLP (prior to 2/7/22) may obtain a CDL without completing entry-level driver training, as long as they obtain their CDL before their CLP, or renewed CLP, expires.
