What types of Financial Aid is available?
CEE accepts a variety of funding sources. Funding may be available, depending
on eligibility, from the Veterans Administration, Department of Labor -
Job Centers & Alaska Workforce Investment offices or through Alaska Native/
American Indian scholarships.
CEE is also recognized by the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education
(ACPE) for our six week course only.

Alaska Supplemental Education Loan:
Applications are available online at www.akadvantage.alaska.gov or by calling 800-441-2962.

CEE does not accept Pell or other Federal Grants. When applying do not use the FAFSA skip directly to Alaska Student Loan program.

Department of Veteran Affairs:
Veterans wishing to use their Education Benefits to pursue vocational training.

Alaska Native Scholarships:  Other funding available for Alaska Natives and Native Americans may be obtained for training through one of the recognized tribal organizations around the state.

Alaska Job Centers:
Job related training services can help Alaskans to qualify and obtain high-demand jobs that lead to economic self-sufficiency. Training services are available to eligible youth, adults, and dislocated workers through the Alaska Job Center Network (AJCN). http://www.ajcn.state.ak.us/jobseeker.htm

Funding assistance for these training services is primarily available through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) , the State Training Employment Program (STEP), the Trade Assistance Act (TAA) and the High Growth Job Training Initiative (HGJTI).

Alaska WIA Offices:
Workforce Investment Act (WIA) formally JTPA.  Provides funding for individuals who have insufficient skills to obtain an adequate job or lack current skills to maintain their present position, as well as providing funding for people with employment barriers.

CEE does not provide individualized job placement for any student or graduate. However, graduates are provided with information regarding hiring trends, names and addresses of potential employers, a list of potential job websites, and a list of Alaska Job Centers.
